


The RefreSCAR project funded under Horizon Europe, project number 101060553, referred to as “RefreSCAR”, “we”, “us” or “our”, is committed to protect your personal data and to respect your privacy. The RefreSCAR project collects and further processes personal data in line with Regulation (EU) N° 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. This privacy policy will explain how our project uses the personal data we collect from you when you subscribe to our newsletter and/or use the SCAR Website (RefreSCAR managed).

You directly provide the RefreSCAR project with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:

Personal data obtained are not kept longer than strictly necessary. Personal data obtained in the context of a Horizon Europe funded project are kept until 5 years after the closing date of the project (or longer (until the legal retention obligation has expired) if required by law) and destroyed after completion. If applicable, when legally allowed or you give your consent, or when granted permissions or protocols allow it, personal data will be kept for any follow-up studies.

The RefreSCAR project securely stores your data through the SCAR Website via INIAV's (RefreSCAR consortium partner) technological infrastructure, in its public demilitarized zones (DMZ), protected by a state-of-the-art perimeter firewall, with its own public Internet protocol (IP) address. With planned maintenance of the Operating System, Joomla and Hypertext Pre-processor (PHP).
The SCAR newsletter subscriptions are compiled by INIAV, through Joomla Module which will collect name and email addresses, through a subscription request.
The RefreSCAR Project will keep your data (name and email for newsletter subscriptions) for the duration of the project and 5 years afterwards for the purpose of record keeping in-line with Horizon Europe guidelines. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data.
You have the right to request a copy of any personal data that has been processed by the RefreSCAR project (data subject access request).
